The Heaven's are Telling...
Happy Feast of St. Francis to all. Today is the feast of St. Francis and we plan to celebrate his feast as he is my first son's patron saint. We are new to this whole idea of celebrating a feast day and my son keeps asking me what it means. I hope overtime our family develops some sort of plan of how to make the child's feast day special. Alexander seems to be true to his patron both in his love of animals and his extremist behavior. I had never realized what an extremist St. Francis was until reading more about him and the flowers of his life. Many miracles occured to St. Francis and those around him, but part of the reason for his extreme poverty was an inability to find moderation in his own life. I often see this in my son as he has an all or nothing attitude on so many things. This is not to say that he isn't loving or generous, just an extremist. Hopefully overtime he will find constructive usage of this behavior just as St. Francis did. May he fly under his patronage always.
